Mehfil House
A contemporary Indian home drawing on the idea of a mehfil, with warm timber, cane, patterned floors and craft that celebrate gathering.
The Idea Of Mehfil
Mehfil House explores a contemporary Indian home rooted in the warmth of traditional domestic spaces. Drawing on the mehfil, a gathering centred on conversation, music and shared experience, it is conceived as intimate yet interconnected spaces for hospitality and everyday rituals.
Layered Materials
Warm timber, patterned flooring, woven cane, muted upholstery and handcrafted details evoke nostalgia without literally copying traditional Indian design. A restrained architectural backdrop lets these layers coexist.
Living And Dining
Generous seating, rugs, timber furniture and chosen artworks make inviting settings for conversation at different scales. A more informal lounge adds deeper colours, contrasting geometric flooring and an eclectic mix of objects.
Craft And Furniture
Turned wooden details, cane-backed chairs, sculptural lighting and vintage-inspired pieces refer to Indian domestic traditions. Private rooms use the same vocabulary more quietly, with warm wood, soft light and subtle textile patterns.
